Chelsea Sack Manager Thomas Tuchel
Blues Part Ways with German Boss After Dismal Start to Campaign
Tuchel Departs After Third Defeat in Seven Matches
Chelsea Football Club have parted ways with manager Thomas Tuchel, the club confirmed in a statement on Wednesday.
The decision comes after a poor start to the season for the Blues, who have lost three of their seven Premier League matches and been dumped out of the EFL Cup by Brighton and Hove Albion.
Tuchel's departure marks a sudden end to his successful tenure at Stamford Bridge, where he won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup in his two years in charge.
The German's sacking comes on the 100th day of ownership for the club's new owners, the Todd Boehly-led consortium.
Chelsea are expected to move quickly to appoint a replacement for Tuchel, with Brighton boss Graham Potter and former Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino among the early frontrunners.
